Dr. Hayes Speaks with the Lake Country Mom on Infertility Support

Infertility Support – Get to Know Vios Fertility Institute

The Lake Country MomInterview with: Allison Nelson, MD, The Lake Country Mom, September 9, 2018

Infertility is one of the most difficult situations for OB/Gyns to tackle with their patients. It is deeply personal and comes with an array of emotions, including shame, anger, jealousy and despair. In the process of dealing with all these emotions, it can be difficult for women to know where to turn. Helping women through infertility struggles usually starts with their primary OB/Gyn; however there are women who will require an infertility specialist. I had a chance to sit down with Dr. Ellen Hayes, a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist who works at Vios Fertility Institute. Vios Fertility Institute is relatively new to the Milwaukee area and recently opened a clinic location in Johnson Creek (in other words, the closest, local option for Lake Country moms). Check out the interview on The Lake Country Mom blog here.

Dr. Jeelani Shares her Story with VoyageChicago

Conversations with the Inspiring Dr. Jeelani

Dr. Jeelani

Interview with: VoyageChicago, July 24, 2018

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roohi Jeelani.

Roohi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As long as I could remember I have wanted to be a doctor, typical of a child growing up in an Asian household right? The twist comes when I first met Dr. Reena Jabamoni, a Reproductive Endocrinologist, and Infertility specialist.

I was just barely twelve years old and as soon as I walked into this office, I was fascinated by all the pictures on the wall of stuff which at that time seemed very “inappropriate,” eggs and sperm lined the exam rooms and grey hallways. When I asked her what she does and what type of doctor she is, she quickly replied by saying, ” I make babies, I take an egg and sperm put it together and put it in the mom.” Read the full interview here.

Sometimes the cause of infertility is not with the sperm meeting the egg, but with the embryo being able to implant into the uterus. What do we know about endometrial receptivity and implantation issues in infertility? Host Dawn Davenport, Executive Director of Creating a Family, the national infertility & adoption education and support nonprofit, interviews Angie Beltsos, the CEO and Medical Director of Vios Fertility Institute Chicago. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), practicing medicine since 1991. Listen here.
