Event Press Release
ST. LOUIS, MO. (April 2, 2018) – Many young women in their early 20s never give their fertility a second thought. But for women struggling to get pregnant later in life, it can be all they think about. With A Night Out to: Educate. Support. Empower. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, Vios Fertility Institute in St. Louis will help women better understand their fertility health in a fun and engaging way – whether parenthood is right in sight or years down the road.
“Women need to be well-informed about their personal fertility health,” Dr. Amber Cooper, Medical and IVF Practice Director, Vios Fertility Institute – St. Louis. “Unfortunately, the conversation with their doctor doesn’t often happen until long after they begin trying for a baby. By getting the information they need now, they can possibly prevent years of heartache down the road. That’s what A Night Out is for – to educate women on their health, to support women who struggle with infertility, and to empower women to make the right choices for their future.”
Held at Third Degree Glass Factory at 5200 Delmar Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., A Night Out features three hours of fun, including blowouts and mini make-overs, a vendor market, and glass-blowing demonstrations. But more importantly, it provides a series of 5-minute presentations covering everything from sexual health and pregnancy to infertility and egg freezing. In addition, a number of fertility specialists and women’s health experts will be on hand to answer guests’ questions.
Tickets for A Night Out are $25 per person and include food, drinks and entry into a raffle to win prizes, such as a free IVF cycle* from Vios Fertility Institute, Gala tickets, Title Boxing Gift Certificate, St. Louis Cardinals tickets, and more. The first 50 women to arrive will also receive a gift bag of goodies from the event sponsors and partners, including title sponsor Sema4™. Sema4, a Mount Sinai Health System venture, is a health information company founded on the idea that more information, deeper analysis, and increased engagement will improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
All proceeds from A Night Out will benefit Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, a St. Charles-based national nonprofit that serves those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life.
Remarked Debbie Cochran, Executive Director of Share, “Nearly one in four pregnancies ends in loss, and stillbirth affects one percent of pregnancies. The generosity of A Night Out participants will help us in our mission to provide support to families who have experienced the loss of a baby. From support group meetings to memorial events, we want to ensure no one has to endure this grief on their own.”
