Our board certified and fellowship trained reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialists understand the challenges of infertility. Our philosophy is to approach each patient as an individual needing customized care in a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere.

Angeline N. Beltsos, MD

Dr. Beltsos is the CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Vios Fertility Institute. She is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

Amber R. Cooper, MD, MSCI, FACOG

Offices: Swansea, IL, St. Louis, MO, O’Fallon, MO & Telehealth

Amber R. Cooper, MD is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist and is the Medical and IVF Director of Vios Fertility Institute St. Louis who understands both personally and professionally the challenges of infertility.

Shannel R. Adams, MD, FACOG

Offices: Pacific Northwest & Telehealth

Dr. Adams earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University, completed residency at University of Hawai’i John A Burns School of Medicine, and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Cincinnati.

Ellen Hayes, MD, FACOG

Office: Milwaukee, WI, Lake Country, WI & Telehealth

Dr. Hayes received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Emory University Medical Center.

Roohi Jeelani, MD, FACOG

Dr. Jeelani, a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, completed both her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center.

Violet Klenov, MD, FACOG

Dr. Klenov completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Iowa.

Erica Louden, MD, PhD

Dr. Louden received her medical degree and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Augusta University.

Rodrigo Pagani, MD

Offices: Chicago, IL & Telehealth

Dr. Pagani has over 20 years of experience in the field of urology and men’s reproductive health. He completed his medical degree and residency in his native Brazil, before completing his fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas.

MacKenzie Purdy, MD, FACOG

After receiving her medical degree at the University of Missouri, Dr. Purdy completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Kentucky and completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.

Julie S. Rhee, MD, FACOG

Dr. Rhee is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist and Director of the Preimplantation Genetic Screening Program at Vios Fertility Institute St. Louis. She is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

Jared C. Robins, MD, FACOG, MBA

Dr. Robins is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at Vios Fertility Institute Chicago. He is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

Scott Springer, DO

Offices: Crest Hill, IL, Geneva, IL & Telehealth

Dr. Springer is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at Vios Fertility Institute Chicago. He completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been in private practice in the Chicagoland region since 2003.

Kari Sproul von Goeben, MD, FACOG

Dr. von Goeben is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at Vios Fertility Institute in Chicago. She is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

Lab Directors

Abeer Salhia, PhD, DLM, FNP-c

Office: Chicago West Loop IVF Lab

Dr. Salhia is the Lab Director for Vios Fertility Institute Chicago and Milwaukee. She holds degrees in medical technology and nursing and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about bringing clinical and laboratory science together for better patient outcomes. Dr. Salhia is DLM certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

Shawn Zimmerman, PhD, HCLD (ABB)

Offices: St. Louis, MO, O’Fallon, MO & Swansea, IL

Dr. Zimmerman is the Lab Director for Vios Fertility Institute St. Louis. He holds both a Master’s of Science and Doctorate in Reproductive Physiology with a focus on molecular pathways. He is certified as a High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).

Our Nurse Practitioners

Staci Gorson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Offices: Sees patients in the Chicago region

Staci Gorson has been practicing medicine with Vios Fertility Institute since 2018. After completing nursing school in 2006, she spent the first half of her career working on labor and delivery. She always knew women’s health was her passion and that led her to continue her education. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she received her master’s in nursing and became a nurse practitioner. She has been working in reproductive endocrinology since 2015 and has never turned back. Her interests include PCOS and secondary infertility. She lives in Park Ridge with her husband and two daughters.

Julia Hoven, WHNP-BC

Offices: Sees patients in the St. Louis region

Julia Hoven has several years of experience as a labor and delivery RN and 10 years of women’s health experience as a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the University of Missouri. She is a St. Louis native and understands the pain, frustration, emotional, and financial burdens that come with infertility struggles as she experienced this personally to conceive both of her children.

Katie Krob, MSN, APN, WHNP-BC

Offices: Sees patients in the Chicago region

Katie Krob has seven years of experience in labor and delivery and recent experience in fertility serving diverse communities throughout Chicagoland. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University and completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Frontier Nursing University where she achieved board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She is an active  member of The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.

Vicki Larsen, DNP, WHNP-BC

Offices: Sees patients in the Chicago region

Vicki Larsen earned her undergraduate degree at Illinois State University and her doctorate at University of Illinois at Chicago.  Prior to coming to Vios Fertility Institute, she worked for many years as a postpartum nurse at Northwestern Hospital, which brings her career to a full circle in that she has seen first-hand what Vios Fertility Institute patients are working so hard for.

Rachael Thomas, MSN, APN, WHNP-BC

Offices: Sees patients in the Chicago region

Rachael Thomas earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Health Science from Brandeis University in 2012, and later attended University of Rochester where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Throughout her education, Rachael developed a passion for women’s and reproductive health, which led her to working as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse and to go on to attain her Masters in Nursing from Loyola University. As a Nurse Practitioner, Rachael enjoys employing the rapidly evolving science of infertility to help patients become parents.
